The 25th Annual Junior Scholastic Challenge at Penn State DuBois saw middle school students competing in a dynamic battle of wits across science, literature, grammar and math. DuBois Area emerged victorious in this thrilling academic contest, with standout performances by individuals Eugene Kurten and Kai Caskey, making it a celebration of knowledge and achievement.
In what they described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the four dancers that represented Penn State DuBois at THON, Rachel Allegretto, Madee Finalle, Abigail Morgo and Ella Wilson, have returned to campus after completing the 46-hour dance marathon at the Bryce Jordan Center.
With the end of the regular season closing in for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Penn State DuBois, the push towards playoff qualification in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference is in full gear.
Penn State DuBois will host its annual career fair from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at the PAW Center on campus. The fair is open to current students, alumni and community members who are looking for opportunities and want to connect with local and regional employers.
The Penn State DuBois Office of Student Engagement will welcome students and members of the public to a spoken word performance from artist Mario Reyes at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Hiller Auditorium.

An annual tradition at Penn State DuBois leading up to the conclusion of THON season, the THON send-off dinner and hair auction was held on Feb. 7 to celebrate this year's dancers from the campus and to make a final push toward achieving the campus' donation goal.
To say that Penn State DuBois basketball senior guard Jaiquil Johnson had an outstanding week would be an understatement. After helping his team to two important wins within the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC), including knocking off the No. 1 team in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) men’s basketball rankings, Johnson was named the PSUAC and USCAA men’s basketball player of the week.
The IDREAM Team at Penn State DuBois is inviting students, faculty, staff and members of the community to its second annual campus and community art show. This event will celebrate diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging through artwork.
It is often said that for a sports team to win a championship, it’s all about that team peaking at the right time. For the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Penn State DuBois, that is exactly what they are attempting to do. With both teams picking up wins to close out the week, and with just five games left to go in the regular season, the Nittany Lions and Lady Lions are both looking to keep momentum on their side through the end of the season.
